Bought GW : Eye of the North from IT Station's closing sales back then in January 2009. Only managed to add the Key now.
What I didn't know was that the key also gave me a 14-day preview to GW Prophecies, Factions (which I already owned) and also the arguably best campaign, NIGHTFALL !

Until today, I've managed to unlock some skills exclusive only to Prophecies and Nightfall using this method. But the most important unlock of all...
...were the Heroes.
Koss, Dunkoro, Talhkora (she's a Princess???) and Melonni were right there to be unlock in the beginning of the Nightfall campaign. Talk to NPC upon arrival at Sun Docks, talk to another NPC to get the quest, talk to another NPC outside the Docks blah blah blah and presto!!! 4 level 15 Heroes straightaway!
...now to levelup them to decent levels. XD
For the uninitiated, Heroes are like your recruitable Henchmen (or Henchies as we affectionately refer to them in-game).
Except for the fact that you can CUSTOMIZE their weapons, runes and skills!! (wuahaha BACKBREAKER+AFTERSHOCK Koss anyone?!)
And there's more!
Upon arriving at Boreal Station in Eye of the North, I got another 2 more Heroes, Ogden and Vekk!
This is will definitely be an interesting journey from now on...
